Galapagos
Charles Darwin made the Galapagos famous despite only spending a short time on the islands during his fie year journey around the oceans. It remains unique in its location at the heart of the many powerful ocean currents that meet there and in the thermally dynamic earth's crust just off the South American mainland. Much of its flora and fauna is also unique making a visit exceptional in all repsects.
